Okay, guys, it's time to figure out which of is the nerdiest one of all. This list in " The Onion AV Club " details the greatest nerd/geek pursuits of recent times.
I propose we rank ourselves on each of the items they list, from 1 to 5, depending on your involvement with each pursuit.
A "1" means that you don't participate in or follow the topic they describe. A "5" means that you are seriously into the topic listed.

My total was 30.
On a scale of 20 to 100, I have less nerd cred than I realized. In a way, that's actually sort of depressing.
Like, for Magic, 1 is "I don't play at all", 3 is "I play", 5 is "I play in tournaments"?
Pat, basically you can interpret the scale any way you want to, so your proposed interpretation is fine. I ranked myself slightly differently.
For those who are interested in question design, the ranking I proposed is using an "anchored scale", so the values 1 and 5 have specific verbal associations, but everything in between is up to you as to how you interpret those values. Hmmm...I feel like my nerd cred just went up a little bit more.
Star Trek: 3. I've never been to a convention, nor dressed in costume, but I've seen all of the movies and know a good amount about Next Generation.
Renaissance Fairs: 2. No, I've never been to one, but I'd like to go. RenFest just continues to allude my schedule.
3. Fantasy Sports Leagues: 4. I've only played football and baseball, but I've run several football leagues and it basically becomes a second job in the fall...and the summer. Should I be a 5 in this?
4. Michael Jackson: 3. I've never been to a concert and don't follow him in the tabloids, but I did own a red and black zipper jackets at one time. And Man in the Mirror totally rocks.
5. Wikipedia: 4. I've never posted, but just last week I read the summary of every Halo storyline. Two weeks ago it was Star Wars.
6. Battlestar Gallactica: 3. It's cool, but I've barely watched since the first season. I'm not saying I wouldn't, I just haven't.
7. Rocky Horror Picture Show: 2. I've seen it, but don't own it or the soundtrack and I've never been to a showing.
Um, where are video games on this list? I swore I was gonna mention Halo, and the next entry would've been Halo.
Oh, and I went with 1 is, I'm not aware of this. 2 is I've heard of this or have some knowledge of it. 3 is I have a decent amount of knowledge regarding this subject and could converse about it. 4 is, I would scare you with the amount I know about this, but I've yet to commit my life to it. And 5 is, you don't want to go in basement.
Total: 21 out of 35. I am nearly 2/3rds nerd. And I'm comfortable with that.
39/100 That's lower than I would have expected but they have a lot of random OCD categories on there.
