The Killing Machine from a Vending Machine

I'm a little late on this, but whatever. I know at least one person reading this will appreciate it.

"After ten years, Scud the Disposable Assassin RETURNS! The series ended on a cliffhanger with our robot hit man agreeing to destroy the world. Creator ROB SCHRAB (Monster House, The Sarah Silverman Show) vows to conclude this indie gem in a four-part miniseries. Everyone comes back, but does everyone survive?"

Picked it up on Sunday but haven't had a chance to read it yet.

Is it me that will appreciate it?

I hope.

Fun fact: that quote at the top of the cover that's too small to read is attributed to Liam Lynch, whom you may know better as the voice of Olly from Sifl & Olly. Or, well, I guess it could be some other guy with the same name. But probably not.

This is from Wikipedia, so who knows how reliable it is, but...

"On January 3, 2007, Schrab announced on his blog that he plans to finish Scud in four parts, Issues 21-24, at which point he would be releasing an omnibus of all the books, Scud #1-24. [4]. Since this announcement, there have been several podcasts posted to Schrab's site giving his state of mind during the process, opportunities he is passing up to finish the book, and a view of the process he uses to create a comic page.[5]

Schrab recently, announced that the Scud finale will be four times the original length. The Book was to be a 32 page conclusion, instead the ending chapter will be over 111 pages long making it Schrab's biggest comic project to date.

Rob Schrab told fans that "he just couldn't make this another issue. I want Scud to go out with a bang."

Because of this and with Schrab producing, directing and writing the Sarah Silverman Program for Comedy Central, the Complete Scud Book was not out by the 2007 but will be for Comic Con 2008"

I have always wanted an omnibus.

I read a lot of Scott Adams' Dilbert Blog a few months ago. Whenever he quotes Wikipedia, he always prefaces it by saying something like "According to some stranger with no credibility...."

I think I need to adopt that habit.

That said, I hope that some stranger with no credibility was right about the omnibus. Because I would buy that in a second. I might buy two and keep one in a safe deposit box at the bank or something.

It's not like I remember any of the plot at this point anyway. Spending $30 or so on a compilation would be so much easier than digging up my back issues.

Also, why doesn't Sarah Silverman write her own show? Isn't she supposed to be, you know, a comedian?

Oh, indeed to the purchase of the omnibus. It said done by Comicon '08, right? Well, I looked that up... or maybe I have a widget counting down the seconds until it starts on my desktop... and it is July 26th. So maybe we will have it by then.

I went searching for a pre-order on the omnibus, but no dice. Let me know if you hear/see something.
