As often as I get angered by their flawed experimental design I'm impressed by how clever and simple a test they devise for a different segment. I am beginning to think they screw-up intentionally so that geeks that are more pro-active than me will flood them with email and post on the message board about the show. If they didn't get it right fairly often the show would be the epic fail that was Crash Lab.
Heh. Crash Lab. That show sucked.
Anywho, I think on Mythbusters they have good experimental design, but they can only prove half of the results. If the theory is something will never work, all they have to do is get it to work once, and the theory is disproved. However, proving the opposite (something will never occur) is much more difficult.
It's like a dead baby joke. You can't tell the joke to one person and assume everyone will react the same way. Some people just have no sense of humor.
